Celebrating the Bakersfield Basque Club’s 50th anniversary was a whirlwind of Basque culture and camaraderie in Kern County, California. From a thought-provoking symposium to connecting with fellow Basque enthusiasts, the weekend brought rural sports, enchanting bertsolaris performances, the comfort of a Basque mass, and a feast that left our taste buds dancing. It was a jubilant immersion into Basque heritage and a reminder of the warmth that comes from shared traditions and great company. Cheers to 50 years of Basque magic and many more to come!
